The objective

Each side has a home bunker with a lift pad and a flag hidden in one of its flag buildings. To win, find the enemy flag, bring it back to your own pad — in the jeep, the only vehicle that can carry it.

  1. Scout and blast enemy flag buildings until the flag appears (you'll hear the Flag Discovery theme).
  2. Clear a path, then drive a jeep over the flag to pick it up.
  3. Bring it home to your pad. The jeep is fragile: if it is destroyed the flag drops where it was.

You lose when you run out of jeeps.

Starting a game

  • Watch or skip the intro (any key), then press F2 on the title screen to start the current level, or 1–9 to start the first map of that difficulty level.
  • You start inside the bunker lift: pick a vehicle with W/A/S/D and launch it with H. The number shows how many of that vehicle you have left.
  • Drive back onto your pad and press H to dock: the vehicle is returned to your stock and you can choose another one.

The dashboard

The status bar shows the radar (centred on your vehicle; your pad, known flag sites and vehicles are marked), the fuel gauge (blinks when low — refuel at a fuel depot or by docking), and your ammo. Drive over an ammo dump to resupply.

Things that will hurt you

  • Gun towers wake up when you come into view and track you. Destroy them with the tank.
  • Drones hunt any vehicle that stays in one place too long (from level 4 onwards).
  • Mines are scattered on later levels.
  • Deep water sinks everything except the helicopter and the jeep in boat mode.
  • Fly the helicopter off the edge of the map and a submarine will come for you.

Two players

Press F3 on the title screen. The screen splits: player 1 (left) uses the keyboard's letter keys, player 2 (right) the numeric keypad — see Controls. Each side has its own bunker, stock and flag; the first to bring the other's flag home wins. A player who runs out of vehicles watches from the bunker until the game ends. Sound is split too: player 1's world on the left speaker, player 2's on the right.
